Overview

NSS is seeking a Finance Implementation Specialist to support a client in workforce development and change management for government organizations. This mid-level role is structured in a self-directed support capacity, requiring diligence, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

In Short

• Support various contractual, financial, and bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Research existing Deltek Costpoint contracts and document current purchases.
• Create a master project plan detailing scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Assist in data recording, input, and acquisition for system installations.
• Generate weekly and monthly reports on project status and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with General Acceptable Accounting Practices (GAAP).
• Collaborate with internal departments and senior leadership.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Expand knowledge in problem-solving and data analysis.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Contracts & Pricing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (desired).
• 6 to 8 years of work experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a related discipline.
• Experience within a government contracting company preferred.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively.
• Strong project management skills.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
