Senior IT Systems Engineer (Enterprise Storage) - Remote

We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer specializing in Enterprise Storage to join our team, which is committed to the continuous development and support of all employees.

In Short

• Manage complex storage environments (SAN, file, and object storage systems).
• Optimize existing storage infrastructure as part of lifecycle management.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in various operational teams.
• Take on regular operational tasks and improve and automate them.
• Analyze disruptions and provide sustainable troubleshooting for our storage landscape.
• Support capacity planning by forecasting future resource needs.
• Participate in on-call duty rotation.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in operating, building, and optimizing storage infrastructures in an enterprise environment (preferably NetApp).
• Familiarity with Powershell, Ansible, REST APIs, and version control systems like Gitlab or Github.
• Solid knowledge of automation techniques and high availability systems.
• Existing certifications in the storage field are desirable (NetApp preferred).
• Advanced knowledge in NAS/SAN including Brocade switches is a plus.
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Team-oriented and highly motivated.
