We are a venture-backed startup developing next-generation orchestration software for autonomous systems. Our platform enables the complex coordination of multi-domain robotic systems with applications in defense and commercial sectors.

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale our technical team during a period of rapid growth. You'll oversee a diverse group of engineers and data scientists while collaborating with our product, design, and business teams to deliver innovative solutions in the autonomous systems space.

Lead and mentor a growing technical team of full stack engineers, data scientists, and autonomy specialists

Collaborate with product leadership to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and execution plans
Drive recruitment and team growth, tripling our technical staff over the next 6 months
Foster a collaborative culture that emphasizes technical excellence, learning, and cross-functional teamwork
Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and technical deliverables across multiple workstreams
Balance immediate product needs with long-term technical architecture and scalability
Implement effective development workflows, code reviews, and quality assurance practices
Guide the integration of Generative AI capabilities into our product suite
Serve as a bridge between technical implementation and business strategy

Requirements

This position requires the candidate to be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
7+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full stack development, AI/ML, or autonomous systems
Experience with modern software development practices and tools including CI/CD and Agile methodologies
Familiarity with multiple programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++ preferred)
Proven ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing engineering teams
Experience managing remote or hybrid teams
Willingness to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
