Revenue Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Revenue Accountant, you will support the revenue accounting team to ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606. You will assist with day-to-day revenue operations, including reviewing contracts, billing, and revenue transactions. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to process improvements as the company continues to grow.

In Short

• Assist in reviewing revenue-related arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
• Review customer contracts and billings for compliance with US GAAP.
• Support the monthly revenue close process and reconciliations.
• Manage third-party contracts and reconciliations.
• Maintain desktop procedures for revenue accounting activities.
• Assist in updating revenue recognition policy.
• Participate in the quarterly and year-end audit process.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Engage in special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in revenue or billing.
• Basic understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Experience with NetSuite required, SuiteBilling is a plus.
• CPA preferred but not required.
