Application Security Engineer (DevSecOps) - Remote

Overview

As an Application Security Engineer (focusing on DevSecOps) at Nextdoor, you will be responsible for monitoring enterprise and product core platforms/systems and managing security tools and capabilities. This role requires understanding security threats, vulnerabilities, and the best practices needed to mitigate them.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security operations and vulnerability management.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD integrations and security practices.
• Experience with automated security testing tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Experience with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Hands-on security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH).
