Paramedic - Emergency Department (24hr Evenings) - Remote

Overview

The Emergency Department (ED) Paramedic provides essential patient care and collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure effective emergency interventions and patient safety.

In Short

• Provide patient care under the direction of an Emergency Physician.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform clinical assessments and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Document patient data in medical records.
• Establish IV access and initiate infusions.
• Perform intubation and basic wound care.
• Administer medications and provide respiratory support.
• Transport patients and equipment within the hospital.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Paramedic Certification (EMT-P).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Paramedic Program.
• Prior work experience as a paramedic is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Competence in using software systems in the unit.
• Knowledge of safety standards and protocols.
• Willingness to maintain annual job competencies.
