HVAC Technician (Unlicensed) - Remote

Overview

The HVAC Technician (Unlicensed) at Mass General Brigham will respond to routine service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and repair HVAC equipment and systems supporting the hospital and medical buildings.

In Short

• Responds to routine service requests.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems.
• Participates in shift rotation coverage as needed.
• Inspects and maintains HVAC and related equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and pneumatic controls required.
• Complies with codes and regulations in the HVAC trade.
• Responds to emergency conditions related to HVAC equipment.
• Performs shift readings and provides feedback on equipment.
• Adjusts and repairs pneumatic control systems as needed.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; technical training preferred.
• 1-2 years of refrigeration schooling required.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Must be able to operate HVAC tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to lift over 30 lbs occasionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with hospital staff.
