Overview

The Clinic/Practice Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the internal medicine practice by providing administrative assistance and ensuring a high-quality experience for patients.

In Short

• Part-time position requiring 20 hours per week.
• Work schedule: Monday and Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am-12:00pm.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments and conducting patient check-ins.
• Field incoming calls and manage patient flow in the waiting area.
• Assist with patient paperwork and co-payment collection.
• Ensure follow-up appointments and procedures are scheduled post-visit.
• Proficiency in Office Suite and understanding of office operations required.
• Must have 2-3 years of office experience.
• CMAA certification preferred.
• Free parking available at the office location.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of relevant office experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues.
• Understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, and faxing.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be well organized with good attention to detail.
