The Solar Project Technician is responsible for day-to-day activities on project sites and remote monitoring, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to travel frequently.

In Short

  • Conduct site visits for solar project commissioning and maintenance.
  • Monitor solar systems remotely and compile reports.
  • Travel over 50% of the time to various project sites.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams for issue resolution.
  • Provide training to onsite teams on product operation and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project owners and team members.
  • Maintain tools and equipment for job site readiness.
  • Support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities for solar systems.

Requirements

  • Experience in solar installation or related fields (mechanic, electrician, HVAC).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50-100lbs).
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and installation manuals.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work in various climates and conditions.
  • Must comply with OSHA standards.
  • Fluency in English.
