Staff DevOps - Focus on Developer Experience (DevEx) - Remote

Overview

As a Staff DevOps at Neon, you will be responsible for developing automations, optimizing costs, and improving the developer experience while ensuring a scalable, resilient, and efficient environment.

In Short

• Develop automations and infrastructure as code (IaC) using GitOps, AWX, and Terraform.
• Ensure the resilience and observability of engineering tools with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Enhance developer experience with efficient tools and optimized pipelines.
• Implement FinOps practices to reduce infrastructure costs by 15-30% in AWS.
• Standardize observability stack for metrics, logs, and traces.
• Work with Cloud-Native and DevOps technologies including Istio, Kong, and Kafka.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment standards and security.

Requirements

• Solid experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge in monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience in automation and IaC with Terraform and GitOps.
• Familiarity with distributed systems architecture and API security.
• Background in improving development tools and processes.
• Knowledge in messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Strong expertise in FinOps focused on AWS cost optimization.
• Problem-solving skills in infrastructure resilience and availability.
• Ability to collaborate and promote technical maturity in teams.
