Overview

The Research and Evaluation Manager (REM) is a member of the Research and Evaluation (R&E) department who leads and collaborates effectively with internal and external partners to develop knowledge and evidence aligned with NRPA’s strategic plan, mission and vision for the field of Parks and Recreation.

In Short

  • Full-time, 6-month contract with possibility of extension.
  • Leads projects including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develops and monitors research and evaluation plans.
  • Communicates findings to diverse audiences through various formats.
  • Collaborates with leadership to support business development goals.
  • Fosters a culture of measurement and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Champions ethical research and equitable evaluation standards.
  • Represents NRPA at conferences and meetings.
  • Undertakes special projects as needed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 days per year.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in social sciences research.
  • Strong knowledge of mixed-methods research methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and training sessions.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with partners effectively.
  • Knowledge and passion for parks and recreation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.
