Overview

The Research Manager plays a vital role in overseeing various teams to ensure alignment and consistency across the organization, focusing on operational efficiency and strategic guidance.

  • Lead and oversee multiple teams including Technology & User Support, Teaching & Certification, and IDEA.
  • Coordinate cross-team projects to align processes and workflows.
  • Manage staffing, onboarding, and compliance with HR processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance and problem-solving for operational challenges.
  • Monitor organizational performance and provide updates to the Director.
  • Develop and review operational policies and systems.
  • Manage laboratory facilities and research compliance.
  • Conduct and review research in area of expertise.
  • Present research findings at meetings and conferences.
  • Collaborate with external partners and represent the organization in meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of work experience in a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and project management platforms.
  • Strong leadership and management experience, ideally in research operations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • Problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
