Overview

The National Fire Protection Association’s mission is to help save lives and reduce loss with information, knowledge, and passion. Established in 1896, we are dedicated to the elimination of death, injury, and property and economic loss due to fire, electrical, and related hazards. The Association delivers information and knowledge through more than 300 consensus codes and standards, research, training, education, outreach and advocacy; and by partnering with others who share an interest in furthering the NFPA mission.

In Short

• Direct and manage the development and implementation of the annual budget and forecast process.
• Establish and analyze company performance metrics.
• Provide insightful business analytics to highlight performance and risk.
• Function as an advisor to business units on financial matters.
• Oversee Credit & Collection operations and credit policy.
• Manage NFPA’s Cash and short-term investments.
• Lead and develop teams in Finance and Credit & Collection departments.
• Ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Monitor financial results against budget and forecast.

Requirements

• 15 or more years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in business administration or finance.
• CTP or CPA preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
