Senior Software Engineer - Tertiary Analysis - Remote

Overview

Natera is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Tertiary Analysis platform with some bioinformatics experience. This position can be Remote or in Austin, TX (hybrid).

In Short

• Be part of a software engineering organization responsible for designing and implementing code for tertiary analysis.
• Work closely with the architecture team and drive the complex system design.
• Perform code reviews and mentor the development team with best practices.
• Make key design and technical implementation on the complex system.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and transform them into microservices APIs.
• Design, build and maintain highly sustainable systems.
• Continue improving process and procedure and evangelizing best practices.
• Be responsible for practicing technical design and developing new functionality.
• Work with PHI on a regular basis and complete necessary training.
• Maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.

Requirements

• BS degree in computer science or comparable program.
• 7+ years of software development experience, preferably with Java.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in Java and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Preferred experience with Python.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience with bioinformatics is a plus.
• Experience with front-end development in React, Sass, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong relational database skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
