Senior Bioinformatics Engineer - Remote

Overview

Natera is currently seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer with a strong focus on Software and Machine Learning Engineering to join our Bioinformatics Research Team focused on Epigenomics in Oncology.

In Short

• Design and develop production-level code with a focus on software architecture and optimization.
• Understand code developed for sequencing data processing and analysis.
• Implement comprehensive tests across the codebase.
• Facilitate training and evaluation of Machine Learning models on large datasets.
• Collaborate between R&D and Engineering teams.
• Participate in Code and Design Reviews.

Requirements

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• Experience in software engineering and algorithm development.
• Hands-on experience with software development best practices.
• Experience in deployment using containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience in distributed computing on cloud, preferably AWS.
• Expert in coding Python and using scientific libraries like Numpy and Pandas.
• Experience with Linux command-line tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple objectives.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
