Auditor, Revenue Optimization - Remote

Overview

The Auditor, Revenue Optimization is responsible for conducting audits and reviewing clinical documentation to ensure proper charge capture and compliance with billing policies.

In Short

• Audit medical records for missed charges and incorrect coding.
• Perform root cause analyses and report findings.
• Complete coding of unbilled records.
• Prepare reports and executive summaries for presentation.
• Assist with clinical documentation recommendations.
• Conduct ad-hoc audits as needed.
• Provide resolution of missing documentation tasks.
• Retrieve necessary documents and perform coding.
• Support cross-functional team inquiries and projects.
• Maintain approved coding credentials and certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years coding experience.
• Approved coding credential through AAPC or AHIMA.
• Obtain one additional certification within 1 year.
• Extensive knowledge of medical billing software.
• Knowledge of CMS claims processing and billing guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Excel.
• Previous coding experience in Anesthesia or General Surgery preferred.
• Understanding of clinical documentation compliance.
