Overview

The Deputy Legal Director will play a key leadership role in advancing Muslim Advocates’ mission, leading high-impact civil rights litigation, and supervising a growing team of staff attorneys.

  • Serve as a representative of Muslim Advocates in external engagements.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex civil litigation or civil rights law.
  • Proven track record of supervising legal teams.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to civil rights issues affecting marginalized communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to implement feedback effectively.
