Overview

The Data Engineering team at Mural builds scalable, high-performance systems that transform complex data into actionable insights. We power internal analytics and user-facing features, supporting critical products powered by AI/Machine Learning, such as Customer Insights, Personalization, Reporting APIs, and Audit Logs. Our work integrates diverse data sources, optimizes core data models, and ensures seamless access across the organization. Success is measured not only by system reliability and scalability, but also by the business impact we deliver—enabling users to make informed decisions and driving overall customer success.

In Short

• Build, scale, and optimize the data platform using Databricks, Spark, and various data integration tools.
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines with Airflow, Fivetran, DBT, and Segment.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for MLOps practices, including model deployment pipelines.
• Prototype, implement, and maintain team projects and features as a technical expert.
• Build flexible and maintainable solutions while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Elevate team skills by participating in technical designs and code reviews.
• Contribute to improving team processes and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, focusing on data platforms and cloud solutions.
• Expertise in designing distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and Spark.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and data platforms.
• Passion for performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Interest in AI-driven development practices.
• Experience with data governance and compliance.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to large codebases.
• Strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills for working with distributed teams.
