Staff Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

We’re seeking a Staff Data Scientist to drive transformative solutions for our business’s most critical operational challenges. This high-impact, high-visibility role is a unique opportunity to join the CEO’s Strategy and Operations team, collaborating directly with the CEO. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how we capture, analyze, and leverage data to optimize operations, drive innovation, and achieve ambitious company-wide goals.

In Short

• Build and deploy advanced models and algorithms to anticipate trends, address operational challenges, identify risks, and uncover opportunities.
• Analyze large-scale payment processing data to uncover insights that improve financial outcomes, inform product development, and guide strategic decision-making.
• Strong understanding of the strategic value of data and its ability to drive business decisions through actionable insights.
• Work directly with the CEO and Strategy & Operations team to tackle the company’s most critical operational challenges.
• Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations that shape business strategy and drive organizational impact.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia.
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of designing and implementing ETL pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS).
