The Senior Systems Software Engineer will be responsible for low-level programming of the Firefox Profiler and other tools, focusing on improving user experience through effective toolsets for Firefox developers.

In Short

Develop new features for the Firefox Profiler to enhance user experience.
Expand data capture by the Firefox Profiler without compromising performance.
Engage in bug triage and strategy with the performance team.
Help Firefox engineers learn to use tools efficiently.
Promote and encourage the use of performance tools within and beyond Mozilla.
Mentor volunteers contributing to the codebase.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in systems software engineering using C++.
1+ year of experience in Rust.
Expertise in operating system APIs: Windows/Linux/macOS/Android.
Experience with large multi-threaded applications and memory management.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
Familiarity with JavaScript, Java, Android development, Python is a plus.
