Senior Counsel, IP & Competition - Remote

Overview

Mozilla is seeking a lawyer to join our Competition & Regulation team, managing IP and competition matters while advocating for an open and accessible internet.

In Short

• Manage IP matters including software licensing and patent portfolio.
• Run litigation in IP, competition, and regulatory matters.
• Advise on Mozilla’s participation in standards bodies.
• Work closely with the Public Policy team on competition regulation.
• Represent Mozilla in meetings with governments and regulators.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Mozilla’s leadership and teams.
• Collaborate with Legal & Policy teams on IP, competition, and privacy.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and state bar membership.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, in-house experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge in IP law and some competition experience.
• Experience in litigation within the US.
• Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
• Collaboration skills to deliver multifaceted legal advice.
• Curiosity about technology and its regulations.
• Strong communication skills for advocacy.
