Risk & Compliance Officer - Systematic Commodities Hedge Fund - Remote

Overview

Moreton Capital Partners is a global systematic commodities hedge fund launching live trading in Q4 2025. We are seeking a US time zone Risk & Compliance Officer to help implement and oversee the firm’s risk management and compliance framework, ensuring we achieve the highest institutional standards.

In Short

• Partner with the CIO and Investment Committee to design and oversee a comprehensive risk monitoring framework.
• Track portfolio exposures, stress scenarios, liquidity, leverage, and concentration limits.
• Ensure adherence to risk limits, VaR, volatility targets, and drawdown thresholds.
• Provide independent risk oversight and reporting to internal committees and external stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain compliance policies aligned with external compliance advisors in the US.
• Manage pre- and post-trade compliance, leveraging institutional platforms.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and legal counsel for continuous compliance.
• Oversee e-communication surveillance and compliance.
• Develop and monitor a firm-wide compliance culture.
• Continuously enhance risk controls as the fund scales AUM and complexity.

Requirements

• Experience in risk management and compliance within hedge funds.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including CFTC, SEC, CIMA, and DFSA.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with institutional compliance platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
