As a Key Account / Distribution Manager at MOOD, you are the face and driving force behind bringing premium cannabis and beverage experiences to life across your region. Your mission? Build strong retail and distribution relationships, execute at the highest standards, and turn wholesale operations into a powerhouse. You’re not just selling — you’re building a movement.

In Short

  • Own and drive wholesale sales goals across cannabis and beverage accounts in your territory.
  • Create growth opportunities with new retailers across On- and Off-Premise channels.
  • Develop and nurture distributor and retail relationships that align with our premium brand standards.
  • Partner with beverage distribution reps, key account buyers, and retail partners to maximize in-store visibility and market share.
  • Conduct regular market visits to coach partner staff, merchandise products, and ensure flawless retail execution.
  • Analyze syndicated and customer data to identify gaps, opportunities, and actionable plans.
  • Champion the MOOD brand through education, events, and consistent follow-ups with retail and distribution partners.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of field sales and distributor management experience in cannabis, beverage (CPG), alcohol, or tobacco.
  • Proven success managing wholesale distributors or DSD partners with a strong track record of delivering volume and distribution goals.
  • Strong understanding of the Hemp, Cannabis and/or CPG industry, route-to-market models, and local market dynamics.
  • The candidate must be a master with DSD pricing and margin models! This expertise is critical to driving sustainable growth and ensuring distributor alignment with brand objectives.
  • Experience analyzing market and distributor performance data (e.g., IRI, MPR dashboards, consumer insights) to support tactical execution.
  • Ability to develop the distributor network through the implementation of MOOD’s selling model.
  • Experience managing independent trade programs (VIP) and local distributor-managed key accounts.
  • Capable of activating MOOD’s retail marketing mix by engaging distributor sales forces and leveraging all available assets (e.g., local & regional events).
  • Comfortable executing RBNA brand rollouts and managing tentpole initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing a fast-paced sales pipeline using Salesforce, Excel, Google Suite, and syndicated data tools.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively within your territory (up to 70%) — including retail visits, trade shows, and partner meetings.
  • Must be 21+ and hold a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain any state-required permits/licenses for selling hemp and cannabis products.
  • High standards for integrity, professionalism, and performance.
