In Short

• Initial consultations with patients to validate medical history and eligibility for CBPM treatment
• Remote consultations with patients who have already been prescribed CBPM and need regular monitoring and follow up
• Work closely with consultants and other clinicians as part of an MDT team to manage and monitor safe prescribing in line with guidelines
• Manage the repeat prescribing reauthorization process by reviewing patient requests for repeat prescriptions
• Undertake clinical audits of prescribing to ensure safety and compliance to policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate patients’ electronic health records as a result of a consultation or prescription
• Implement changes to medicines that result from MHRA alerts, product withdrawal and other local and national guidance
• Work with the governance and operational teams to ensure the practices are compliant with CQC standards
• Contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the service by monitoring and auditing of medicines
• Attend work related meetings as required

Requirements

• A UK qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC Number.
• Ideally Undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme.
• Independent prescriber qualification
• Minimum of 4 years post qualifying experience
• In depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge and understanding of the principles of CBPM
• Self-motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail
• Professional, ethical and committed to providing excellent customer care
• Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills and confidence at interacting with patients remotely
