In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes using modern PHP.
• Build REST APIs and integrations with internal services and third-party platforms.
• Optimize performance, security, and reliability across high-traffic sites.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and code quality tooling.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues; participate in an on-call rotation.
• Partner with stakeholders to estimate effort, break down work, and deliver iterative value.
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 2–3 years professional experience building WordPress sites, plugins, or products.
• Solid PHP fundamentals and familiarity with modern patterns.
• Strong WordPress expertise: hooks/filters, custom post types, WP-CLI, multisite, Gutenberg/Block Editor.
• Frontend proficiency: HTML5, CSS/Sass, JavaScript/TypeScript, React for Gutenberg blocks.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, query optimization, and caching.
• Git/GitHub experience.
• Performance and security best practices.
• Comfortable working across time zones in a remote team.
