Overview

Join us as a (Senior) Embedded Systems Engineer in our Vehicle Mission team on a shared journey that matters! You will be part of a team that develops applications and tools needed to enable autonomous passenger management within our vehicles.

In Short

  • Develop algorithms for controlling and monitoring our vehicles.
  • Test these algorithms from unit tests up to entire end-to-end tests in the vehicle.
  • Plan and document systems with respect to industry standards for safety, security, and quality management.
  • Collaborate with Volkswagen Group, vendors, and other partners.
  • Support the team with expert knowledge in embedded engineering and mentor colleagues.
  • Shape and contribute to our development processes regarding automotive standards.
  • Be part of the full development life cycle, from design to implementation, quality assurance, and maintenance.
  • Work in a bottom-up managed, autonomous, cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of software architecture, implementation, and testing principles.
  • Experience with C++ 11/14 or later, Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience with Linux platform as both user and developer on multicore ARM-based SoCs.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like MQTT and SOME/IP.
  • Experience in industries with high reliability and quality demands (automotive, medical, aerospace).
  • Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps mindset and testing integrated into CI/CD.
