Internship in Data Protection (m/f/d) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an intern (m/f/d) in Data Protection to support our team in ensuring the compliant processing of personal data in our company.

In Short

• Support in creating and updating processing directories regarding new technologies and business processes.
• Analyze and assess data protection risks in software development and other projects.
• Assist in implementing measures for employee and customer data protection, including creating data protection concepts and conducting training.
• Advise departments on all data protection legal matters.
• Support in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
• Maintain and manage documentation and processes in our Data Security Management System (DSMS).
• Contribute to improving our workflows using tools like JIRA and Slack.

Requirements

• Completed First State Examination in Law and interest in data protection law.
• Basic knowledge of data protection law.
• Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Slack is an advantage.
• Experience in accompanying software development projects and understanding of data protection legal issues arising from them.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Solution-oriented with a strong understanding of complex contexts.
• Structured, self-reliant, and team-oriented working style.
