Staff Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Security Engineer at Modern Health, you will be a key technical leader responsible for setting the long-term security vision and strategic direction for our product and cloud environments, ensuring the security and privacy of our users.

In Short

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for proactive security vulnerability analysis.
• Establish the technical vision for integrating robust security controls at every stage of the SDLC.
• Architect, deploy, and manage defensive security tooling.
• Lead the maturation of the Product and Application Security Program.
• Conduct collaborative threat modeling initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and drive the adoption of secure coding standards.
• Test, audit, and assess the security posture of application and cloud infrastructure.
• Engage with Cloud Security efforts to ensure secure deployment.
• Develop scalable solutions for application and product security challenges.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product/application security or related fields.
• Expertise in secure software development practices and security-focused architecture.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and secure code review.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python and/or Bash preferred).
• Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical risks.
