Planning Intern (Riverside – Hybrid) - Remote

Overview

MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) is a fast growing, profitable, multi-service infrastructure consulting firm offering planning, construction management, civil engineering, and surveying services throughout California. With nine (9) offices throughout California, the Company has provided services to the transportation, water resources, government services, and federal markets for nearly 60 years. MNS is hiring a Planning Intern to join our Planning Department for Summer 2025. The internship will focus on a wide range of tasks including Environmental Compliance, Community Planning, Current Planning and Regulatory Permitting. This position is a hybrid position, reporting to the MNS Office located in Riverside 2+ days per week.

In Short

• Assist with data collection and analysis for planning projects.
• Research regulations and prepare documentation.
• Conduct field work and data collection.
• Prepare maps and graphics for planning documents.
• Assist in developing presentations for community meetings.
• Attend public meetings and assist with outreach activities.
• Prepare agendas and meeting minutes for internal meetings.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
• Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver’s record.
