Senior Fullstack Node Developer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Mexico-based Senior Full-stack Software Engineer to contribute to the next phase of growth with our company’s brands and product portfolio. The ideal candidate for this critical position will contribute high-quality software and engineering expertise as a technical leader with our talented engineering group. Your contributions will focus on our learning management SaaS products.

In Short

• Build subject matter expertise on your team’s code base and platform.
• Write clean, production-ready code that is easily understood and well tested.
• Leave the codebase better than you found it when refactoring components.
• Serve in an on-call rotation and respond promptly to any production issues.
• Communicate well and be available.
• Write secure code and avoid introducing vulnerabilities.
• Work in an agile development model and participate in sprint planning.
• Monitor and log alerts to ensure quality issues are addressed.
• Help teammates resolve complex problems and design challenges.
• Foster an engineering culture based on trust and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with SaaS applications.
• Proficiency with Node.js is a must.
• Experience with C#, Go, Terraform, and Typescript is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git source control and versioning.
• Proficient in AWS systems (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Experience with the Agile SCRUM model.
• Knowledge of code coverage and unit testing frameworks.
• Familiar with ticket tracking (JIRA).
• Knowledge of best practices for microservice architecture.
