Procedural Asset Engineer - Remote

Overview

Miris is seeking a technically exceptional and creatively driven Procedural Asset Engineer to join our friendly and fully remote R&D team. You will bridge the fast moving radiance field techniques with scalable production practices to make an automated pipeline converting user-supplied images and 3D data into Miris’s proprietary streamable 3D format.

In Short

• Design and build procedural pipelines in Python and DCCs such as Houdini.
• Take responsibility for the visual integrity of generated assets.
• Collaborate with research engineers and dev ops.
• Prototype new procedural techniques.
• Explore the parameter space of the asset pipeline.
• Contribute to production-style tasks for demo content.
• Stay current with new radiance field research.

Requirements

• 7+ years in VFX, animation, or game production.
• Excellent Python development skills.
• Extensive experience with Houdini or other procedural production DCCs.
• Experience building and maintaining large procedural systems.
• Rapid prototyping skills for computer graphics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
