Sustaining Engineer - Remote

Overview

Mirantis is looking for a talented Sustaining Engineer with experience in Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, and public clouds to help maintain and evolve the Containers platform.

In Short

• Become an expert in Mirantis Cloud Native Platform technologies and customer deployment environments.
• Research customers’ software patches requirements, design and develop features along with patch improvements in Golang.
• Create best-in-class help content and perform audits for our knowledge management system.
• Partner cross-functionally with product and solution experts to co-develop reference architecture content.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques on complex problems.
• Engage with product engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Build and maintain customer-based reproducer environments.
• Reproduce customer issues and package bug reproducers.
• Diagnose and develop code-level fixes and apply patches.
• Drive deep technical post-mortems on behalf of customers.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Software Development, Technical Support, or Sustaining Engineering.
• Knowledge of Go programming language.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Linux distributions.
• Ability to perform code-level analysis of complex issues.
• Experience troubleshooting remote Linux system issues.
