Senior Plumbing Designer (Remote in Western US)

Overview

Michael Baker International is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Designer/Engineer to join our National Mechanical Engineering Team, responsible for developing plumbing construction plans for various projects.

In Short

• Develop plumbing construction plans including design drawings and details.
• Experience with federal projects is a plus.
• Work in multi-disciplinary, collaborative project design teams.
• Apply Revit software to complete design and construction drawings.
• Lead or support plumbing engineering design efforts on multiple projects.
• Strictly adhere to project budgets and schedules.
• Perform design work under minimum supervision.
• Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry codes.
• Prepare and present technical information clearly.
• Travel occasionally for project meetings and on-site work.

Requirements

• 8+ years of plumbing system design or engineering experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF software.
• Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) is preferred.
• Additional certifications like Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) are a plus.
• Ability to manage designs and meet deadlines for multiple projects.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
