Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Engineer - Remote

Overview

Michael Baker is actively seeking water, wastewater and stormwater engineers and associates for our Virginia and Maryland locations. The successful candidate will be a part of our team of talented engineers working on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects that include planning, design, engineering and construction support.

In Short

• Planning studies, analyses and preliminary engineering efforts.
• Develop engineering reports and technical memoranda.
• Perform hydraulic modeling.
• Prepare design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Research products and materials and conduct technical evaluations.
• Preparation of quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Participate in field visits and investigations.
• Support construction efforts by reviewing shop drawings.
• Assist with technical proposals during the pursuit of key projects.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
• Have 6-10 years of professional experience in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
• Self-starter interested in working on a variety of projects.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
• Knowledge with AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS is highly desired.
