Senior Civil Project Manager, Transportation/Roadway/Highway - Remote

Overview

Michael Baker International's well established and very successful Transportation Practice in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers in all aspects of design and plan preparation for roadway, highway, and freeway improvement projects.

In Short

• Work with Transportation Practice Leaders on client service action plans.
• Participate in strategic positioning for highway or roadway projects.
• Lead a team in design and plan preparation for improvement projects.
• Deliver projects per plan, budget, and quality objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships.
• Provide technical direction and support.
• Develop trusted adviser relationships with key clients.
• Manage client relationships and project execution.
• Participate in professional associations and conferences.
• Responsible for successful contracting and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of Transportation/Public Works experience.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Knowledge of regulatory issues in California transportation.
• Relationships with City, County, and State agencies.
• Demonstrated supervisory and mentoring skills.
• Strong proposal writing and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit to grow the Transportation practice.
