Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Full-Time Rail Bridge Engineer with a specialization in railroad bridge design, rehabilitation and construction to help make a difference in our Rail and Transit Practice.

• Full-Time position for a Rail Bridge Engineer
• Specialization in railroad bridge design, rehabilitation, and construction
• Responsibilities include structural analysis and engineering investigations
• Use of advanced bridge analysis/design software
• Preparation of construction plans and specifications
• Management of project deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Professional Engineer’s License required
• 4-6+ years of experience in bridge design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering required
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
• 4-6+ years of experience in bridge design
• Experience with Freight Railroad bridge design
• Strong technical experience with bridge and retaining wall
• Experience with AREMA
• Aptitude for Task Management and staff development
• Experience with structural design/analysis software
