Bridge Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Bridge Engineer will join the New England Bridge Team in performing design, analysis, and inspection of bridge structures in Massachusetts and throughout New England.

In Short

• Assists with design and analysis, plan production, reports, and other supporting documentation associated with bridge projects.
• Assists with gathering background information related to project site.
• Assists inspection Team Leaders during field inspections.
• Prepares CAD drawings for bridge and highway projects.
• Assists with quantities and project cost estimates.
• Coordinates with design technicians for timely deliverables.
• Prepares for client and project meetings.
• Visits project sites and reports findings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• EIT certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Familiarity with software packages such as AutoCAD, Microstation, MathCAD, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Certification in FHWA/NHI bridge inspection class preferred.
• Able to work in challenging environments.
