Overview

Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Iowa Roadway Lead to work REMOTELY and based in Iowa. As the Iowa Roadway Lead, you will be responsible to develop and maintain trusted adviser relationships with local clients as well as setting the vision for growth and lead market awareness.

• Lead a team of engineers and designers for roadway improvement projects.
• Deliver projects per agreed plan, budget, and quality objectives.
• Mentor staff and oversee budgets and schedules.
• Build and maintain relationships with key client decision makers.
• Lead proposal strategies and participate in the interview process.
• Be an active member of the Iowa Transportation community.
• 10+ years of highway and/or roadway design experience required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Strong track record of overseeing successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of highway and/or roadway design experience.
• Iowa DOT and/or local client experience is a must.
• Demonstrated supervisor and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong engineering judgment with a strive for quality.
• Drive to be a leader in the company and community.
