Software Automation Engineer 1 - Remote

Overview

The Software Automation Engineer 1 is an entry-level member of the Software Automation team who will report to the Software Automation Manager. They are primarily responsible for the setup and maintenance of loan programs used within the Product Pricing Engine (PriceMyLoan). The Software Automation Engineer will be given additional responsibilities and tackle increasingly complex tasks as they progress in the team and obtain technical and mortgage expertise.

In Short

• Build, test, and maintain both new and existing loan programs within PriceMyLoan.
• Automate investor guidelines and rate sheet adjustments into eligibility and pricing rules.
• Assist clients with system configuration and custom pricing/eligibility requests.
• Investigate issues reported by clients and apply fixes or escalate issues.
• Field inquiries regarding software behavior and prescribe best-practice solutions.
• Monitor email/web download error logs and update system automation.
• Create workflow rules to define and restrict user privileges within the Loan Origination System.
• Obtain knowledge of various roles in the mortgage industry.
• Explain complex technical concepts to clients.
• Delivery of low to medium complexity builds.

Requirements

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Motivated to continually learn and improve.
• Experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math, Business, Economics, or STEM.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
