Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage the company’s receivables, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate records, and processing payments efficiently. Experience working with healthcare clients or within the healthcare industry is highly regarded. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and an understanding of accounting principles.

In Short

• Process incoming payments and ensure proper posting to customer accounts in the accounting system.
• Monitor accounts for non-payment and delayed payments, and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
• Assist in generating invoices and ensuring the accuracy of billing details.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Resolve customer inquiries and disputes related to accounts receivable.
• Maintain organized records of all collections, payments, and correspondence.
• Prepare and submit regular aging reports to management, highlighting overdue accounts.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reports.
• Stay current on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Requirements
