Overview

Medline Industries is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead all phases of the product development process, supporting innovation and product design strategies in a hybrid work model.

In Short

  • Lead product development phases for new products and technologies.
  • Manage design control processes and coordinate verification and validation activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and resolve product failures.
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify product opportunities.
  • Oversee product development timelines and corporate priorities.
  • Evaluate prototypes for usability and performance.
  • Work with legal on product design protections.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • At least 2 years of product development experience required.
  • Travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • 2+ years of product development experience.
  • Experience with medical device requirements and design controls.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, particularly Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Minitab for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of GMP, GLP, and ISO/CE Mark standards.
  • Ability to work in high volume manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to conduct risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
