Director of Technical Accounting - Remote

Overview

The Director of Technical Accounting & Policy will lead a team to develop and govern the Company’s technical accounting processes in accordance with US GAAP requirements.

In Short

• Lead and mentor a team of technical accounting professionals.
• Implement accounting policies under US GAAP.
• Analyze and document the impact of technical guidance on operations.
• Review material contracts and perform complex accounting analyses.
• Oversee monthly close processes for technical accounting areas.
• Manage accounting for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Support internal control documentation and testing for SOX 404.
• Develop and mentor staff through training and performance management.
• Collaborate with other teams to achieve organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in technical accounting.
• Experience managing teams and developing talent.
• Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Preferred: CPA certification.
