Overview

The Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist at MediGold is responsible for reviewing and assigning ICD-10 medical diagnoses for outpatient and inpatient records, ensuring compliance and accuracy in medical coding.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification eligible as CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA.
• Minimum two years of experience in medical coding and billing.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of medical claims formats and terminology.
• Understanding of Risk Adjustment and HCC coding.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and Private payer regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ethical coding practices.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
