Overview

The Cognos Administrator/Developer will manage, maintain, and optimize the Cognos environment for seamless data delivery and reporting solutions, supporting the US Marine Corps.

In Short

• Install, configure, and maintain Cognos environments.
• Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and data models within Cognos.
• Ensure data integrity and security within the Cognos framework.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Cognos applications.
• Create and maintain documentation for Cognos processes.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Cognos tools.
• Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret level clearance.
• BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in administering Cognos environments.
• Proven experience with Cognos Analytics, TM1, or similar BI tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Experience with data modeling and report design.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Excellent analytical, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience using tools for software development and release management.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
