Media Relations Officer - Remote

Overview

Mary’s Meals International is recruiting for an enthusiastic Media Relations Officer to join our global communications team. You will provide support in managing media relations for Mary’s Meals International, working across our global family and with key media contacts to raise awareness of our mission.

In Short

• Draft and review high-quality press releases and bespoke comments.
• Distribute press releases and media statements to key contacts.
• Identify and reach out to international media contacts.
• Research and manage media databases.
• Follow up on media pitches and support interviews.
• Collate and analyse media coverage.
• Liaise with National and Programme affiliates.
• Assist in organising media events.
• Support crisis response situations.
• Lead on podcast pitches and curate programming.

Requirements

• Experience in media writing and journalism.
• Fluency in English and at least one other language.
• Proven experience in a busy press office.
• Strong understanding of news outlets.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Cultural sensitivity and passion for the work.
• Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn new technologies.
