Overview

The Director of BTS stands at a critical junction between Marine Credit Union’s (MCU) strategies and outcomes. This role includes an exciting combination of both business and technology leadership skills. The role is multifaceted, requiring a grasp of MCU strategic goals as well as strong insight into both business and technology trends.

In Short

  • Develop and implement strategic plans related to application architecture and development.
  • Identify opportunities for technology innovation and improvement.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple application development projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software developers and technical staff.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for software development and quality assurance.
  • Develop and manage the application development budget.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security measures.
  • Monitor project progress and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Minimum seven years of information technology experience required.
  • Minimum three years as a supervisor/manager required.
  • Experience managing enterprise application solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities effectively.
  • Technical knowledge of integrating applications.
  • Experience with Jack Henry and Associates Financial Systems preferred.
