Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

MariaDB is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to enhance security for both MariaDB Corporation and its cloud services, collaborating across departments to build a comprehensive security program.

In Short

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and prioritize security features.
• Work with engineering/product management for security feature implementation.
• Provide written security expert opinions for products and corporate features.
• Assist in compliance and certification programs.
• Audit and remediate security exposures in cloud infrastructure.
• Perform key Security Operations functions.
• Identify new security threats through continuous monitoring.
• Review and resolve security issues daily.
• Conduct investigations of security incidents.
• Develop and maintain automation for security tasks.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Computer Security.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to document complex security issues in detail.
• Strong responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to independently research and create solutions.
• Security and privacy mindset.
• Understanding of cryptography and security principles.
• Proficiency in security automation.
