Principal Software Engineer – Enterprise Design System - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a visionary and deeply technical Principal Engineer (Design Systems) to lead the evolution of our enterprise design system at scale. This role is responsible for setting the technical direction, driving architectural excellence, and enabling efficient, consistent, and accessible digital product delivery across the bank’s platforms.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with 9 years or Bachelor’s with 7 years in front-end engineering.
• Expertise in HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and Token Architecture.
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership in architecting enterprise-grade UI frameworks.
• Ability to multitask on complex projects.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of UI Test Automation.
• Experience in financial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with Figma and Storybook is a plus.
