Loss Mitigation Liaison I - Remote

Overview

This position is responsible for acting as the Single Point of Contact (“SPOC”) throughout the loss mitigation process, from package collection through decision and closing, as well as through the foreclosure process.

In Short

• Take inbound and make outbound calls to mortgage loan borrowers.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
• Answer consumer questions regarding their accounts.
• Collect consumer financial information.
• Communicate terms of loss mitigation approvals or declines.
• Explain foreclosure processes as necessary.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain direct contact with consumers.

Requirements

• A combined 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year collections or customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Mortgage collections experience.
• Knowledge of M&T systems is a plus.
