Financial Institutions Group Associate - Specialty Finance - Remote

Overview

Responsible for supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of lending mandates within M&T’s Financial Institutions Group with particular focus on Structured Finance.

In Short

• Act as primary day-to-day contact for transaction execution support.
• Conduct financial statement analysis and cash flow valuation.
• Perform industry research and prepare marketing materials.
• Model and structure transactions across various asset classes.
• Drive conversations with clients and various stakeholders.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Maintain internal control standards and implement audit points.
• Provide analytical and transaction execution support.
• Work with limited supervision from senior bankers.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Three years of related credit experience in FIG/Specialty Finance.
• Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Highly proficient in cash flow modeling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sell effectively to clients.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• General knowledge of banking and commercial fee-based products preferred.
